Conformal Wireframe Nets for Trimmed Symmetric Unit Cells in Functionally Graded Lattice Materials

چکیده

Tessellating a periodic unit cell of lattice material to fill design space in complex geometries has many challenges arising from their computer-aided (CAD) modeling intricacy. A solution this difficulty is the use trimmed micro-truss structures with conformal net. This paper presents novel algorithm for constructing net as wireframe one-dimensional line segments suitable Bravais cubic symmetric truss-based topologies. The an excellent candidate when dealing using cubic, body-centered (BCC), face-centered (FCC), and/or diamond configurations. structure easily transferred into beam elements microscale optimizations obtain functionally graded material. It shown that introduction resulted significant reduction mass optimized design.
